The government used a lull in the Brexit turmoil to issue action plans on some big topics; including antimicrobial resistance and suicide. The Health Service Journal surfaced a power struggle between the Department of Helath and Social Care, NHS England and NHS Digital, over health tech policy. The NHS App went into the Apple and Google app stores, replicating NHS Choices and GP app functionality, but with plans to expand this later. NHS Digital announced that the GP Connect service to link hospital clinicians to GP data is now live across its home city of Leeds, and that it has been doing some interesting work with homeless services and people in Hastings to tackle digital exclusion.
