Queen’s speech mentions social care and data protection

The government introduced its NHS Long Term Plan Funding Bill to Parliament. The bill enshrines existing NHS funding increases in law; but only in cash terms, and without any protection for inflation. Health and social care secretary Matt Hancock also floated the idea of scrapping the four-hour A&E target following dire figures that showed the NHS is nowhere near meeting it.

North Bristol NHS Foundation Trust announced that it was going to try its third electronic patient record vendor in a decade, this time going with System C. And a handful of trusts announced app deployments.
