The UK’s Covid-19 vaccination programme got underway and attention turned back to Brexit. With just weeks before the ‘transition’ period ends, and a ‘no-deal’ or extremely ‘thin’ free trade deal on the cards, think-tanks warned the NHS to brace for potential disruption to medical supplies.

Looking beyond that, NHS England announced the creation of more integrated care systems ahead of the deadline to have the whole of England covered by ICSs by next April and there was further progress on the information sharing agenda, with cities moving ahead with shared care records and urgent care tools and plans.
