Covid-19 cases started to rise again, as a result of the spread of the Delta variant first sequenced in India. This put plans to lift all remaining control restrictions in England on 21 June in doubt. Meanwhile, MPs warned that NHS and social care staff have been burned-out by the pandemic, posing a serious risk to health and care services.

The government was forced to delay its #GPDataGrab and to draft in senior data and medical experts to try and allay public fears. And our advisory board debated the state of healthcare technology one year on – and asked whether there will be “no going back” to traditional ways of working.
