Highland Marketing welcomes leading North American and European Technology company Carefx to its client portfolio

Carefx is the latest major name in the healthcare IT sector to join Highland Marketing’s growing portfolio.

The US-based company provides open, scalable, flexible, and highly strategic technology solutions for nearly 700 hospitals and more than 150,000 care providers across North America and Europe.

Carefx has a rapidly growing presence in the UK, in part because of the attractiveness of its clinical portal technology, which is based on its Fusionfx suite of workflow and analytics solutions.

Wayne Parslow, European vice president and general manager, EMEA, Carefx, said: “We appointed Highland Marketing because of its long track record, network of contacts and detailed knowledge of the market in the UK and Europe. The aim is to create a strategic partnership to help us consolidate and grow our business in these hugely important healthcare markets.”

The campaign has kicked off with the announcement of a major success for Carefx, in which it partnered with Northgate Managed Services, to be named by the Scottish Government as the preferred bidder for a £6 million deal to deliver, implement and manage a clinical portal for NHS Lothian, NHS Fife, NHS Borders and NHS Dumfries and Galloway. The announcement has already generated considerable interest and media coverage including the Scotsman, the Guardian, E-Health Insider and Public Technology.

Highland Marketing will support Carefx in a number of ways including further raising awareness of its products among healthcare providers and clinicians. It will also help create a recognition of its role as a leader in portal technology – which brings together patient information from multiple sources and presents it in a single view.

This allows healthcare providers to have all the advantages of a single electronic patient record without having to replace their existing systems.

Mark Venables, Highland Marketing CEO, said: “We share the same drive and ambition as Carefx so we will ensure that we provide a pro-active and hard hitting marketing and communications campaign for the company in the UK and across the rest of EMEA.”

“This new relationship underlines the value that clients see in working with a company that offers unrivalled breadth and depth of expertise in the healthcare sector.”
