EHI appoints Highland Marketing to confirm
EHI Live as leading event for the eHealth community.

Programme of PR and social media activities to widen delegate attendance and maximise coverage across national, healthcare and IT media.

Highland Marketing has been appointed by EHI to deliver a range of PR and social media activities in support of the EHI Live 2012 event, which takes place from 6-7 November 2012 at the NEC Birmingham. Now in its fifth year, EHI Live provides a forum for the entire healthcare IT community to meet and discuss a wide range of eHealth issues.

The primary objective of the campaign being run by Highland Marketing, will be to widen delegate attendance for the conference and exhibition across a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals. Highland Marketing will also deliver a range of services designed to maximise coverage of the event in a wide range of national, healthcare and IT media as well as encouraging press attendance. These activities will help confirm EHI Live’s position as the leading event in the UK eHealth calendar.

In recognition of the important role the agency will play in promoting the event, Highland Marketing has become an EHI Live Affiliate and will be exhibiting at the event on stand C74.

Charlie Beall, head of publishing at EHI, said, “Each year, we aim to deliver an even better experience both for delegates and exhibitors. We are delighted this year to be working with Highland Marketing to grow our delegate base and to communicate the value of exhibiting at EHI Live to suppliers. Highland Marketing have an intimate knowledge of the healthcare IT sector and are ideally placed to communicate our message, that EHI Live provides the seminal platform to explore and understand the impact of eHealth strategies, of changes in technology and how healthcare is delivered, as well as an opportunity to learn from the experiences – good and bad – of colleagues working elsewhere.

“To communicate that message effectively, we needed to engage with an agency that has excellent market knowledge, strong contacts and connections with a wide range of media, and demonstrable skill in using a full range of PR and social media techniques to meet client objectives. Highland Marketing was the obvious choice.”

Mark Venables, CEO, Highland Marketing, said, “Securing this appointment demonstrates the strength of our reputation within the healthcare IT marketplace and the range and depth of the expertise we can bring to engagements. EHI is one of the most respected and influential organisations within the UK healthcare IT community and we look forward to helping take EHI Live to the next level.

“Our involvement in promoting the conference and exhibiting at the event allows us, as part of the healthcare IT community ourselves, to meet our own strategic objective of supporting events, initiatives and vendors that strengthen the capabilities of the sector. This year is our 10th anniversary and we can think of no better way to celebrate than by being asked to help an event, like EHI Live, become an even more valuable venue where the healthcare IT community can meet.”
