Joining the Highland Marketing team Laura Steward is no stranger to healthcare IT, having worked in the industry for almost nine years at global healthcare IT giant McKesson as marketing communications director. During this time she has developed excellent industry links and a strong understanding of the issues affecting healthcare and the implications this has for suppliers.
Laura joins Highland Marketing at a time of unprecedented growth for the company. As account director she has been tasked to manage the new client portfolio, helping to ensure they build the best possible profile, brand recognition and reputation in the industry. She will also take responsibility for working with clients to develop marketing and communication strategies appropriate to their needs, delivering services ranging from PR, website development, social media programmes amongst others.
Commenting on her appointment, Laura said: “I am thrilled to have made the move from client side to agency but key is the fact that it will enable me to stay focused on the healthcare industry, with its many nuances, challenges and intricacies. Better still, is I get to be part of an experienced team working on an exciting mix of clients from NHS trusts to emerging, innovative health IT suppliers as well as CROs and pharma companies, and be a part of their success.
“With current NHS reorganisation and reform so prevalent, the time is right for these organisations to be raising their profiles and differentiating themselves against competitors. And strong marketing will be essential to ensure they reach their growth potential.”
Mark Venables, CEO Highland Marketing said: “We’re growing at a significant rate which is a reflection of our recognition as an established, trusted marketing communications agency focused purely on the healthcare industry. This is what makes us unique and to retain this model we only recruit staff of the highest calibre with a proven track record of excellence in marketing specific to this industry. Laura fits this perfectly. Her broad range of skills and commercial experience will be an asset to Highland Marketing and its clients.
“This approach coupled with our industry focus is what sets us apart and is testament to our continuing success.”
