Matthew Swindells, the deputy chief executive of NHS England, will leave in July. Swindells, who has a long history of interest in NHS IT, is going to contract for Accenture. His departure came as Richard Corbridge, the former chief information officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, warned that health tech could face a brain drain of frustrated talent. He has just taken up a job at Boots. Meanwhile, official figures confirmed that the NHS remains under huge pressure.
