It was e-Health Week in London this week, and Highland Marketing was at the show organised by HIMSS UK to hear Matthew Swindells urge trusts to sort out their ‘bog standard’ IT and get on top of the demand and scheduling agenda, Will Smart promise a HIMMS 7 trust by the end of the year, and Juliet Bauer promise an NHS ID service within weeks. Away from the show, the winter row over A&E waiting times data blazed up again, and NHS Digital issued its long-awaited replacement for the Information Governance Toolkit.
