Healthcare Roundup 26 April 2019

April passed without a social care paper being published; missing the latest deadline to be floated by health and social care secretary Matt Hancock. The green paper, originally promised for summer 2017, is seen as essential to solving the funding crisis in local authority-run care and reducing demand on the NHS. Hancock did give a speech on workforce, calling for the creation of a compassionate culture and more flexibility to improve working lives. London Ambulance Service trialled the use of the NHS Identity Service as a way for medics to access the Summary Care Record on iPads without using N3 or a smartcard.
