Health and social care secretary Matt Hancock took a break from Brexit turmoil to give an interview to Conservative Home, in which he claimed the Conservatives were the original party of the NHS and the key to addressing growing demand was for people to take more “responsibility” for their health. This was followed by bad news on life expectancy and public health funding.
