US digital doctor professor Robert Wachter gave an interview to Wired three years after he was asked to review NHS IT by former health secretary Jeremy Hunt. He identified cost, long-payback periods and privacy as ongoing problems. An RCGP report identified poor infrastructure, outdated systems and a lack of electronic patient records as bigger ones.
