Two organisations representing NHS providers joined calls for Number 10, the Treasury, and the Department of Health and Social Care to agree more funding for the NHS in this autumn’s spending review. Papers reported that ministers are split over a rise and whether to raise tax or National Insurance to fund it.
Meanwhile, NHSX issued its much-anticipated ‘what good looks like’ and ‘who pays for what’ documents to a fairly muted response. Health tech suppliers with potential customers are likely to be most interested in the new ‘unified tech fund’ which will distribute £680 million of central tech funding before handing over to integrated care systems next year.
