The eyes of the world were fixed on Glasgow as Cop26 started to try and secure a new round of agreements to tackle climate heating. The NHS has already published an ambitious plan to become net zero by 2040. Highland Marketing co-founder and client services director Susan Venables argued in a blog that it is time for health tech to take note of these developments, to start thinking about its carbon footprint, and to be ready to communicate what it is doing to reduce it to audiences that expect action.

Also this week: NHS England announced a big expansion of home monitoring with a plan to distribute 220,000 blood pressure monitors to patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure, to try and cut heart attacks, stroke and dementia. And NHSX launched an EPR usability survey.
