As the worst of the winter weather abated, NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens thanked NHS staff for their “heroic efforts” to keep services going. However, the annual staff survey revealed that one in four NHS staff has experienced pressure at work over the past year, and just one in three are now happy with their pay.
