Debra Hollis-King

With 15 years experience of working in an accountancy practice, Debra has been exposed to many areas of accountancy from auditing through to taxation. This knowledge has been further enhanced by years of study. Debra is a qualified accounting technician (AAT) and is one paper away from becoming a chartered certified accountant (ACCA).

More recently, as part of her progression, Debra decided that she wanted to play a more active role in helping a business to grow, develop and succeed. Rather than visiting a company two to three times a year she wanted the opportunity to become involved in the daily decision making of a business so that she could make a difference. Highland Marketing has provided that opportunity, she is now responsible for the day-to-day running of the financial and operational aspects of the business, as well as the future planning.

“Having joined Highland Marketing as finance manager in July 2013, I believe that my knowledge and experience will help the company to achieve its financial and overall business objectives. I have always admired companies that have high ambitions, which Highland Marketing clearly has. I welcome the challenge of making those ambitions become reality.” 

A little bit about Debra:
  • Debra is an avid sports fan and challenges anyone to find a sport that she won’t watch. One of her main ambitions is to visit all 4 tennis grand slams in her lifetime.
  • Her other passion in life is travelling having visited Australia, New Zealand, the USA and many countries in Europe. No continent is off the radar! Her only concern is that she has far too many countries left to visit!!
  • Debra’s secret love is DIY. She relishes every opportunity to assemble flat pack furniture. Appreciating that this may seem rather quirky, she is quick to point out that her other hobbies include cycling, reading and socialising with friends and family.
