Two significant reports highlighted the dire state of public health in England and warned of the impact on public services as the population continues to age. The Health Foundation and the Covenant for Health commission called for cross-government action on the root causes of ill health, investment in primary care and prevention to cope.
The Infrastructure and Projects Authority has concluded that the Frontline Digitisation programme to complete the roll-out of electronic patient records at trusts in England is “unachievable” in its target timeframe – which NHS England has now pushed back a year, to March 2026. However, a south coast trust started market engagement this week.
