It was a busy week for NHS and social care policy, as the Hewitt Review of integrated care systems was published and significant cuts in planned social care investment were announced ahead of the Easter break. It was also a busy week for some prominent health tech companies, with IMS MAXIMS announcing a buyer, IMMJ Systems rebranding, and Hyland laying off a fifth of its staff.

On a brighter note, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust went live with its latest Nervecentre module – order communications – and indicated that it will be deploying a new patient administration system from the company next; taking both the company and the trust closer to a full electronic patient record.
